Myoko Kogen is easy to reach, with smooth connections from major cities like Tokyo, Osaka, and Kanazawa. Whether you're arriving by bullet train or rental car, you’ll be surrounded by mountains and snow in no time.

✈️ By Air

Closest Airports:

  • Tokyo Narita (NRT) – International hub

  • Tokyo Haneda (HND) – Most domestic flights

  • Matsumoto Airport (MMJ) – 103 km to Myoko

  • Niigata Airport (KIJ) – For regional access

We recommend flying into Tokyo and continuing by train for a scenic and efficient journey.

🚅 By Train

From Tokyo

  • Take the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Nagano Station (~1.5 hours)

  • Then take the local Shinano Railway or Myoko Haneuma Line to Myoko-Kogen Station (~40 mins)

From Kanazawa or Niigata

  • Take the Hokuriku Shinkansen to Joetsu-Myoko Station

  • Then transfer via taxi, rental car, or local train to Myoko-Kogen

🚗 By Car

Driving from Tokyo: Approx. 3.5–4 hours via the Joshin’etsu Expressway
From Nagano: About 1 hour by car

Free parking is available at both Kitsune Lodge and Sugi Crossroads. Snow tires or 4WD are strongly recommended in winter.

  • Luggage forwarding is common in Japan — travel light and have your gear delivered

  • We recommend the JR East Rail Pass if you’re exploring other regions
